1. Your Right to Delete

You have the right to request the deletion of your Inflame account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This right is protected under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa. We will process all deletion requests promptly and in accordance with our obligations under applicable law.

2. How to Request Deletion

2.1 From the App (Creators)

If you have a creator account on the Inflame app, you can request account deletion directly from the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request. Your account will be queued for deletion within 24 hours of confirmation.

2.2 By Email (Brands & Creators)

You may also submit a deletion request by emailing privacy@inflame.co from the email address associated with your account. Use the subject line 'Account Deletion Request' and include your full name and account email address. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm deletion within 30 days.

3. What Gets Deleted

Upon confirmation of your deletion request, Inflame will permanently remove: your account profile and login credentials; your personal information including name, email address, phone number, and payment details; any creator portfolio or brand profile data associated with your account; and your campaign history, application records, and content submissions stored in our system.

4. What May Be Retained

4.1 Legal and Financial Records

Certain data may be retained beyond your deletion request where we are legally required to do so. This includes transactional records, invoices, and payout history required for tax and accounting purposes under South African law. This data is retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

4.2 Safety and Compliance Records

Where an account was involved in a safety investigation, dispute, or legal matter, relevant records may be retained for the duration of that matter and for a reasonable period thereafter. Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you is not subject to deletion.

5. Effect of Deletion

Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to the Inflame platform immediately. Any active campaigns, pending applications, or scheduled payouts will be cancelled. If you are a creator with a pending payout, please ensure you have received all owed funds before submitting a deletion request. Inflame cannot recover deleted accounts.

6. Processing Time

Account deletion is processed within 30 days of your confirmed request. In most cases, deletion is completed significantly sooner. You will receive an email confirmation once your account and data have been permanently removed from our systems.
